9 Years Since the Great East Japan Earthquake
9 years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake. We would like to express our sincere condolences to the victims, and sincerely express our sympathy to those still evacuated and all those affected by the disaster.
We started The LIFE311 project 3 weeks after the disaster as the support for construction of wooden temporary housing and installation of woody pellet stove at Sumita-cho, Iwate where next to the most disastrous afflicted area. We’d like to appreciate for all the support and donation. Thanks to you, we’ve continued the project for years.
Last spring, Sumita-cho announced a closing of the temporary housing at the end of March 2020. Accordingly, we’d like to inform that we will close acceptance of donation on March 31st, 2020.
We will continue to stay close to the community and work on project after the housing closed. There’re only a few weeks left, and we’d like to appreciate your support till the end.
